{off to see the wizard}

Well last night was our first experience with a tornado warning. One apparently touched down about 15-20 miles from here (it's still unconfirmed though) and there was a possibility that it was heading our way. The tornado sirens in town went off and we gathered some supplies, got the kids out of bed, and went to the basement. Luckily both kids stayed asleep and we watched the news downstairs until the storm passed. It was pretty windy and rainy here, but no tornado to speak of. At about 11:00 we brought the kids back upstairs, and Gerard didn't even remember it this morning.

In addition to the important supplies of water, formula, diapers, flashlights, blankets, etc, I of course had to grab my camera. Here's Gerard fast asleep on the basement loveseat:

That's about it for tonight. Looks like things are going to be quieter and the weather is going to cooperate. I'll write again soon!

Big G did a great job carrying Gerard downstairs -- his blanket didn't even shift on his pillow! Did you even know you had tornado sirens in your town?
